Gamify Your Manifesting Practice

Being overly attached to the end result is a key stumbling block for many conscious creators.

Whenever it feels like we must manifest what we want in order to be happy, it’s a clear sign that attachment is threatening to sabotage our manifesting party. Boo! :(

As a Scorpio moon, getting a little too intense about what I want to manifest can be one of my biggest hurdles to clear when transforming a dream into reality.

Because of this challenge, over time I’ve developed some handy tricks to help me counteract a tendency to lean too much on the graspy, need-it-to-happen-or-I-can’t-be-happy side of the equation.

One of the most fun and effective tricks I’ve discovered is to “gamify” my manifesting practice.

What I mean by this is to simply turn manifesting your dreams into a game that you play with yourself as much for the fun of the manifesting journey itself as to help you get to the desired end result.

How do you turn manifesting into a game?

In general, it comes down to finding ways to get yourself focused more on the present moment and more engaged in the process of manifesting instead of becoming overly focused on the outcome. It’s about challenging yourself to see how well you can do and how much pleasure you can experience at each step along the way.

After all, when you play a board game or a sport, it’s not just about winning or getting to the end of the game, right?

It’s as much (or more!) about the fun that you have along the way in attempting to play your best game.

Same thing goes for manifesting. It’s about the fun journey as much as the joyful end result.

And, to be even more specific, here are some of the ways I like to “gamify” my manifesting practice:

  • I play around with exactly what thoughts light me up the most and therefore help me activate the vibration of my intention the best.

  • I see how many stories I can create that describe the different angles of what it’s like to be living my dream.

  • I practice these stories to see how well I can shift them from feeling fantastical or out of reach to feeling like simply my new normal.

  • I experiment to find the best ways to match my thoughts, feelings and actions with the version of myself who already lives inside of my dream-come-true.

  • I see how well I can spot subtle signs and evidence of my dream transforming into reality.

  • I challenge myself to see how quickly I can notice when resistant thoughts pop up and play around to see what works best to release doubt, worry, overwhelm, fear and other kinky vibes.

  • I see how many reasons to believe in my dream coming true that I can come up with and collect.

  • I see how well I can apply practices like the ones listed above to shift my overall energy from doubt to hope to belief to knowing and finally to fully expecting my dream to manifest.

Every moment is a new game

One of my favorite parts of adopting this “manifesting-as-a-game” mindset, is that every day (or even every moment) can be considered a new chance to play the manifesting game.

In every moment, there’s a new opportunity to play at becoming even more aligned to what we want to create.

And, when we stay focused on the fun to be had along the way, this joyful journey automatically guarantees us a joyful, successful end result.

Who doesn’t love a good win-win situation like that?!

Here’s to playing our best manifesting game,

Adrianne
