Making Friends With Negative Emotion

As conscious creators we know how important emotions are.

Our feelings tell us what our vibration is doing and therefore what we’re in the process of manifesting into our reality.

It makes sense that once we discover that positive emotions help us to create positive outcomes that we’d develop a strong preference for feeling good.

While this drive to be high vibe is a great thing…

The downside is that it can also lead to developing an equally strong resistance to feeling bad.

Getting stuck in a rut of negative emotion used to be my biggest fear.

I believed that I would always be okay and able to manifest my way out of a jam as long as I could maintain a good-feeling, high vibration.

Because of my fear of feeling bad, however, whenever my mood took a dip, it became even more challenging because I compounded my negative emotion with worry about my bad feelings sabotaging my manifesting ability.

Ouch :( Maybe you can relate?

It’s easy to see why us conscious creators might be tempted to ignore, suppress or judge our negative emotions as “wrong” or “bad.”

But, none of those responses work very well to actually transform these feelings.

And, if we don’t shift lower vibe feelings… no matter how much we might try to deny their existence… they’ll still hinder us in manifesting our dreams and realizing our full potential.

A more effective approach is softer, gentler and ten times more loving and accepting of both ourselves and our ouchy feelings.

Making friends with negative emotions allows them to naturally transform into something that feels better.

Instead of resisting the bad feelings, the best first step is to accept and even embrace what we actually feel, no matter how dark or “unspiritual” it might be.

Ironically, whenever I’ve allowed myself to simply accept and feel into my anger, disappointment, fear, overwhelm, or any other uncomfortable feeling, this in itself often provides sweet relief.

Because our natural state is to feel good, if we just sort of relax into the negative feelings their energy often begins to soften, shift and move through us all on its own.

Feeling even better then comes down to comforting, nurturing and soothing ourselves in the same way as we might do with any good friend who came to us feeling upset.

What’s the best part of making friends with negative emotions?

The more that we practice being friendly with our negative emotion, the more we’ll build confidence in our ability to find our way back to feeling better, no matter what.

Then, instead of fearing or avoiding negative feelings, we’ll have the skills and confidence to proactively transform them.

We’ll then have the power to improve our vibration and our manifestations relative to any topic that’s important to us.

Here’s to becoming friends with ALL of our feelings.

Love and Magic,

Adrianne
