With 2021 right around the corner, eager anticipation for a “fresh start” is in the air.

Plus, if you’re an astrology fan, there’s also the monumental “new beginnings” energy of this month’s Saturn Jupiter conjunction to look forward to.

While I certainly don’t believe that we need to wait for a brand new year or rare astrological alignment to set intentions…

I’m all in for catching a ride on the wave of collective excitement and possibility!

So, in this article, I’m sharing the process I use and teach to clients for setting powerful intentions.

It’s designed to help achieve maximum clarity and divine alignment for intentions that are equal parts fun to imagine and fun to manifest.

Step One: Check Your Vibe

This may sound basic... but, the most important part of intention setting is to make sure that you’re in the right headspace for the task.

Intention setting is a dialog between your heart, mind and intuition. And, these parts of ourselves speak to each other most fluently when we’re feeling good.

So, set intentions when you're in a high-vibe, good feeling energy.

In the morning after a good night’s sleep could be a good option. Or, perhaps after meditation or exercise.

It’s also not a bad idea to simply wait until inspiration naturally strikes.

Anytime that you find yourself feeling excited about something you’d love to experience is a fabulous opportunity to explore that inspiration further by creating a new set of intentions.

Step Two: Craft Your First Draft

When feeling good, you’ll likely find it easy to answer the question:

What would feel the best to manifest next in my life?

Give yourself plenty of time to explore what sounds good. Often, the words to best describe what you want flow easily when you’re in a good feeling vibration.

You want to keep writing about your intentions until you feel a sense of completion and satisfaction. You want to be able to proclaim to yourself, “Yes, that’s exactly what I want!”

Once you’ve written something that really “clicks” and feels just right, you’re ready to move on to step three.

Step Three: Let It Marinate

Simply by asking “What do I most want to create?” you’ve automatically, powerfully requested clarity from the Universe and your own inner guidance.

Because of this strong request, during the hours or days immediately following writing your intention first draft, additional insights will likely come to you. Your intuition may speak to you through your thoughts, dreams, daydreams, memories, or feelings about what would be the optimal choice for you to manifest next.

You may also find yourself attracting experiences related to your intention that provide further clarity about what you truly want to create.

During this time of marination, you want to stay open and curious about the signs that show up both within and around you. This feedback is meant to assist you in crafting your optimal, best-fit intentions.

Step Four: Tweak As Inspired

Based on what’s revealed during the marination process, update, adjust and tweak your intention to make it feel even better.

Once you’re really feeling “next level” solid and clear about what you want to create, you’re ready to move on to the final step.

Step Five: Finalize and Commit to Create It

After a bit of marination and inspired tweaks, you should end up with an intention statement that you feel 100% excited about manifesting into reality.

Step Five is when you commit to begin the manifesting journey to create your awesome intention.

The Power of Clear, Compelling Intentions

While this five-step process may seem lengthy or drawn out, it’s worth it to give yourself whatever time and space is necessary in order to create very clear and compelling intentions.

When you land upon a description of your true heart’s desire that really lights you up, this will provide powerful fuel and inspiration that can carry you all the way to your desired destination.

Love and Magic,

Adrianne
