The Easy Way to Release Resistance, Raise Vibration & Feel Better Fast

Recently, I decided that destination birthdays are going to be a thing for me.

For any birthday that ends in zero… and maybe also five… I’m going somewhere cool to celebrate.

This June, I’ll turn 40. So I booked a trip to Maui.

Snorkeling, beachy-birthday here I come! 😁

But a couple of weeks ago, while booking plane tickets, an Airbnb, and a rental car, something happened.

The rental car website wanted to know my flight information.

Okay let’s see…

My departing flight is flight 39.

And my return flight is flight 40.

Wait… seriously?!

For my 40th birthday celebration vacation I am leaving on flight 39 and returning on flight 40!?

😳🙃

Okay Universe, that’s a little on the nose, don’t we think!? 🤣

Then I texted my sister about it. And she pointed out that my reservation actually says flight HA 39 and flight HA 40… because I’m flying Hawaiian Airlines and that’s how they abbreviate it.

So this funny synchronicity even has this tone of laughter baked right into it.

Okay, so why am I sharing this little birthday-themed inside joke with the Universe?

Because…

If the Universe has the time and ability to orchestrate silly inside jokes with me…

If the Universe willingly chooses to use its all-powerful resources and resourcefulness just to crack me up…

I feel like it probably is also down to help me, and ALL of us, solve any problem, achieve any goal, or manifest any dream.

#logic right? 🤷🏻‍♀️

We just need to get into the vibration to receive.

Of course, being in the vibration to receive doesn’t always come easy.

Sometimes lunch is delayed too long, we can’t find the car keys that are currently in our pockets (oops!), and we could've used 3 extra hours of sleep.

At times like these, it helps to have quick and powerful tools for releasing resistance and returning to a better feeling, higher vibration, receptive mode state.

I used to find myself stuck in a cycle of negative emotions for hours, even days, feeling disempowered and struggling to break free. But fear not—this two-step method has been a game-changer for me. Now, those disheartening experiences are rare, and when they do surface, I have a powerful tool to shift out of them quickly. Let's explore this method that has become a cornerstone in my emotional well-being journey.

Step One: Drop the Story

The first step in this transformative process is deceptively simple: drop the story. Negative emotions often arise from the narratives we construct in our minds, justifying and reinforcing the tension and resistance we feel. These stories can seem justified, true, and even addictive. However, by giving yourself permission to let go of the story, if only for a few minutes, you open the door to profound change. Shift your focus away from the narrative causing distress and redirect your attention to something else, or better yet, move on to the second step.

Step Two: Relax and Release

Once you've successfully dropped the story, the magic begins with step two: relax and release. Rather than attempting to think your way out of the negative emotions, turn your attention to the physical sensations within your body. Negative emotions often manifest as tension and resistance, and the key to unlocking their grip is to let go of the mental narrative and focus on your body's sensations. Embrace the wisdom of the Sedona Method, welcoming the emotion instead of pushing it away. By relaxing into the experience, you create space for the energy of the emotion to flow through and process, bringing about a swift shift in your emotional state.

This two-step method has been a profound catalyst for change in my life, offering a straightforward yet potent approach to releasing resistance and raising your vibration. While I have various tools in my emotional well-being toolbox, this method stands out as one of the most powerful and simple techniques.

Navigating Step One - Dropping the Story

Now, let's delve deeper into the trickiest part of the two-step method: dropping the story. We all know how tempting it can be to hold onto our narratives, especially when negative emotions or resistance are at play. The stories we construct in our minds about what's causing our discomfort can seem like puzzles begging to be solved. However, I've come to realize a crucial truth that has made this step significantly easier for me.

The revelation is simple but profound: a negative emotional state, a lower vibration, or a state of tension and resistance is the least conducive moment to try solving a problem, find a solution, or manifest a positive outcome regarding the issue at hand. Many of us can relate to the experience of tirelessly overanalyzing a situation, feeling tense, only to find clarity and resolution after a good night's sleep or a distraction. Recognizing that it takes a higher vibration, a state of non-resistance, to truly solve problems and find solutions makes it easier to let go of the story when we're not feeling good.

Consider the analogy of trying to solve a problem while in a lower vibration. It's like engaging in an internal argument where resolution seems elusive. But the moment you decide to give it a rest, shift your focus elsewhere, and relax a bit, the entire perspective changes. The tension dissipates, and you find yourself in a different vibration. It's akin to resolving an argument with someone else after taking a break—often, you return with a changed perspective and can't even recall the details of the disagreement.

Remembering that lower vibrations are not conducive to effective thinking can be a powerful motivator to drop the story, shift your focus to your body, and swiftly boost your vibration. This understanding has been a game-changer for me, transforming the way I approach negative emotions and resistance.
