Action Not Required

Have you ever felt stuck in manifesting a dream because you couldn’t get yourself to take the actions that seemed required in order to create it?

For example...

  • Maybe you dream of building a successful business, but you’re not feeling very enthused about marketing, selling, or “putting yourself out there.”

  • Or, maybe you want a new love relationship, but dating just doesn’t sound like your idea of a good time.

  • Or, maybe you’d love to manifest financial abundance, but have zero excitement to do any of the things that could logically increase your income or build your wealth.

  • One of my recent personal examples of this happened a couple of months ago. Nick and I decided that we were ready to settle back down again into a more permanent housing situation after six months of living our digital nomad dream. But we didn’t feel like putting time or effort into a housing search.

In these types of situations, most of the world would advise us to use willpower and self-discipline to push through our inner resistance and “just do it.”

Most believe that sometimes you must do what you don’t want to do in order to create what you want in life.

Fortunately, that idea is a myth.

It’s never necessary to do something we don’t feel like doing in order to manifest our dreams.

In fact, doing what we don’t want to do can actually have the opposite effect. It can make it harder to manifest what we want.

When we’re not enjoying ourselves, we’re not aligned for best success.

Forcing ourselves to do what we don’t want to do creates energetic resistance that slows down and can even block manifestation all together.

What’s the solution?

Do what you’re inspired to do. Do what you feel like doing.

And, trust that that’s enough!

Why is only doing what you’re inspired to do enough?

Because, inspiration is guidance from your higher self, the part of you who knows where you are in relationship to what you want and who wants to lead you right there.

If you don’t feel inspired to do something, your higher self is not guiding you to do it.

It’s either not the right thing to do. Or, it’s not the right time to do it.

Or, it’s time to find a new way of looking at that thing so that you do feel like doing it.

How the housing search worked out

So, as mentioned earlier, Nick and I needed to find a new place to live... but for a while, we didn’t feel like searching for it. So, we didn’t.

Until, one day in late August, inspiration struck.

I logged onto Zillow and found a newly listed townhouse in Beaverton that seemed like a fit.

  • 5 minute drive to Nike HQ would make a short commute for Nick once he’s required to return to the office plus allow him to come home for lunch or a midday nap

  • Plenty of nearby hiking trails to indulge my newfound love of forest bathing

  • 3 bedrooms so we could each have an office

  • Etc. Etc.

Nick messaged the owner. His wife happened to work at Nike too.

He said we sounded like a good fit for the place and invited us to come over that afternoon for a look. We liked it. He liked us. That evening we signed the lease and a few days later we moved in.

New housing is notoriously competitive in the Portland area. A nice place like this in a convenient location and so reasonably priced generates a lot of interest. The owner said that he received over 60 inquiries about our place within just the first 24 hours of listing it.

Definitely perfect timing for us to find the place exactly when we did, go see it immediately and be ready to commit and sign the lease that same day.

Logging this as another win in the column of “inspired action.”

Alignment Trumps All

While it can be tempting at times to fall into the trap of thinking that it’s necessary to “do more if we want to have more”….

… conscious creators understand that alignment trumps all.

Sometimes, the best thing we can do to manifest our dreams is not take more action to try and make it happen, but instead …

  • go take a nap

  • enjoy a netflix binge

  • eat something tasty

  • or, whatever else sounds good to do right now!

Illogical as this may sound to the rest of the world, magic makers understand that this is an energy based system.

Doing the things that feel good creates alignment. And, alignment leads to...

  • knowing when to take the right action at the right time.

  • being a vibrational match for things to just work out in your favor, no action required.

So, here’s to finding what feels good and letting inspiration be our navigation to every destination. 😊

Love and Magic,

Adrianne
