How to Tell How Close You are to Manifestation

One of the most helpful manifesting skills you can develop is the awareness of how close you are to manifestation.

When you can tell exactly where you are along the manifesting journey, then you know what to expect. You’re not surprised at all by what’s manifesting because you understand the key stages of the journey. You can tell if you’re right on the brink of manifestation or if there’s plenty more alignment work for you to do.

Manifesting is an Emotional Journey

The manifesting journey can be made super simple when you understand that it’s an emotional journey.

Abraham used to use this phrase “emotional journey” a lot. Pondering this part of their teachings really helped me to simplify my thinking about deliberate creation. It makes manifesting feel less mysterious and complicated and more understandable and doable.

One of the basic fundamentals of manifesting is that in order to create something brand new in our lives, we must become a vibrational match to it. And our emotions indicate what we’re doing with our vibration.

The better we feel about something, the better it tends to work out for us.

And so, an easy way to understand the journey of manifesting a dream into reality is to simply see it as a journey of deliberately changing how we feel about the dream. The better we feel about it, the more “on track” we are to manifesting it.

But we can get even more specific than this. There are actually five distinct stages to the emotional manifesting journey…

The Five Stages of Manifesting

Abraham and other teachers have summed up manifesting with the simple phrase, “we get what we expect.” And so, to put it simply, the emotional manifesting journey is often a journey of traveling from some level of doubt to a feeling of expectation.

With this in mind, the five stages of the manifesting journey are:

  • Disbelief

  • Doubt

  • Hope

  • Belief

  • Expectation

These stages represent a gradual progression from total disbelief in what we want to manifest all the way to full expectation that what we want will become reality very soon.

Let’s take a closer look at these stages so that we can more easily recognize where we are in the manifesting process.

Here’s a chart I created to break down the stages and how we tend to experience them:

When you think of something that you’d like to manifest, where on this chart would you place yourself?

Below are some questions for reflection to help pinpoint exactly where you are right now in the manifesting journey.

To pinpoint what your current vibration is regarding what you want to manifest, simply see if your answers to the following four questions tend to lean in a certain emotional direction.

1. How possible does your dream/ desire feel to manifest?

  • Does it feel impossible to manifest (Disbelief)?

  • Possible but unlikely (Doubt)?

  • Possible but unsure, like maybe it will or maybe it won’t manifest (Hope)?

  • Possible and likely to manifest at some point (Belief)?

  • Very possible and highly likely to manifest very soon (Expectation)?

2. How much clarity do you experience around how your dream/ desire could manifest?

  • Do you have no clue how it could manifest (Disbelief)?

  • Do you have some idea of how it could manifest but it doesn’t seem very likely (Doubt)?

  • Do you see one or more possible ways it could manifest that may or may not work out (Hope)?

  • Do you clearly see one or more ways that it could very likely happen (Belief)?

  • Do you clearly see one or more ways that it could very likely happen very soon (Expectation)?

3. How do you generally feel when you think about this dream/ desire?

  • Very strong negative emotion (Disbelief)?

  • Negatively (Doubt)?

  • Slightly positive (Hope)?

  • Positively (Belief)?

  • Very positive emotion (Expectation)?

4. What kinds of signs and evidence are you manifesting regarding this dream/ desire?

  • Are you manifesting signs and evidence that point to it being nearly impossible to manifest (Disbelief)?

  • Are you manifesting signs and evidence of how unlikely it is to manifest (Doubt)?

  • Are you manifesting signs and evidence of how it might or might not manifest (Hope)?

  • Are you manifesting signs and evidence of how likely it is to manifest at some point (Belief)?

  • Are you manifesting signs and evidence of how very likely it is to manifest very soon (Expectation)?

Once you know where you are right now along the emotional manifesting journey, the next step is simple, get headed in the right direction… towards expectation! 😎✨

This is the key essential “work” of manifesting - practicing ourselves into a feeling of expectation of our dreams and desires coming true. It’s about finding the thoughts that help us move closer and closer to that feeling.
